The Times Higher Education , British monthly known for its annual ranking of universities , inaugurated August 20, 2015 ” a new classification , in collaboration with Elsevier , based on collaborations between industry and universities ” from four indicators of innovation :
the share of income from research funded by industry in the recipes of the institution;
the share of publications involving industry ;
resources from industry ;
the proportion of publications cited by patents.
The Ecole Centrale Lyon reached the 5th place worldwide for its share of scientific publications involving the industry.
